One of the Chinese mythological theme park in Singapore is known as the Haw Par Villa. The Haw Par Villa or the Chinese mythological theme park is located near the Pasir Panjang Road. The park is famous all over Singapore and is visited by a large number of people from all over the world.
The Haw Par Villa was earlier known as Tiger Balm Gardens. The park has a collection of around 150 giant dioramas as well as 1000 statues. The park depicts scenes which are a part of the Chinese legends, history, and folklores. These are inspired by various concepts of Confucianism.

Here you will also find The Goddess of Mercy, The Laughing Buddha, The Romance of Three Kingdoms, The Ten Courts of Hell and many more things. The Ten Courts of Hell shows the tortures of the underworld and various kinds of torments that people face there.
The Tiger Balm Gardens or the Haw Par Villa was constructed in the year 1937 by Aw Boon, Haw and Aw Boon Par. They wanted to develop the park as a place where people can learn a lot about the traditional Chinese values. Later on with the passing of time in 1979, the Aw family sold the Tiger Balm Gardens to the Singapore Tourism Board.
After this the Tiger Balm Gardens were renamed as the Haw Par Villa in the year 1985. After certain renovations the garden was reopened in the year 1990 for the public. It was during this time the park was converted into an Amusement park and the Dragon World was opened in the park.
The statues and scened which were present earlier were replaced and new things were added which included fairground rides. The entry fee for the park was abolished from 1996 onwards.
